An internationally recognized academic medical center, honored for excellence in medical education, is adding a fellowship-trained (BC/BE) Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon to its Division of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation in Central Illinois:
- Up to 100% trauma practice with a catchment area of roughly 2 million
- Cases range from complex pelvic to geriatric fractures and bread & butter trauma
- Operate at two Level I trauma centers less than one mile apart, plus a nearby ASC
- Very light shared call, with residents taking first call
- Teach and mentor right away, with research support including IRB help and study coordinators
- Option to build an elective subspecialty practice, with a big demand in foot and ankle (not required, and additional areas of specialization available)
- Dedicated MA and RN, plus shared APPs
- Epic at the clinic and both hospitals
- Strong base, RVU-based clinical pay, trauma call pay, and sign-on and relocation assistance
