Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare (MLH) is seeking a collaborative Cardio-Oncologist to join its nationally recognized Cardiovascular Institute in Memphis/Germantown, TN. You will succeed the program's departing cardio-oncologist, stepping into an established practice with the support to take it further.
As MLH transitions to a comprehensive Institute model, you will lead cardiac care throughout the oncology journey across 6 hospitals and 12 clinics, reporting to the Senior Director of Cardiology.
What you'll do:
Consult on patients receiving cardiotoxic therapies, including anthracyclines, HER2-targeted agents and immune checkpoint inhibitors
Lead GLS echocardiography and biomarker surveillance to detect subclinical myocardial injury
Partner with 38 physicians, 35 APPs and oncology colleagues on "Heart-Healthy Recovery" plans that minimize treatment interruptions
Grow cardio-oncology pathways within a centralized clinic model
Manage survivorship care, including radiation-induced heart disease and chemotherapy-related heart failure
Qualifications:
MD/DO with IM residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship
Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
Cardio-Oncology training or significant experience highly preferred
Advanced Echo or Cardio-Oncology certification a plus
