Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Northeast is seeking a board certified psychiatrist with inpatient leadership experience to serve as Chief Medical Officer of its growing 92-bed hospital just outside Scranton.
The Position:
• Balance Executive Leadership with an active clinical practice.
• Modern hospital opened in 2023, with four specialty units and an IOP.
• Lead and support a multidisciplinary team of 7 psychiatrists and 5 APPs
• Teach a growing psychiatry residency, expanding from 3 to 5 per class.
• Seat on the hospital executive team, reporting to the System Chair of Psychiatry.
Living in Greater Scranton:
• Two hours from New York City and Philadelphia
• Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, under 15 minutes from downtown, flies to Charlotte, Chicago, Newark and Orlando.
• Cheer on the RailRiders, the Yankees’ Triple-A team, at PNC Field in Moosic.
• Ski, splash or catch a concert at Montage Mountain.
• Walk or bike the 70-mile Lackawanna River Heritage Trail to Steamtown National Historic Site.
